Hi, I’m Deniz, a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA). For over 14 years, I have been dedicated to supporting children and families in the journey of overcoming the challenges associated with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, and learning difficulties.
My passion for Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) began in the UK, where I started my career working closely with children and young adults aged 18 months to 20 years old. Over time, I expanded my expertise to address a wide range of concerns, including challenging behaviour, speech production, and deficits in social and academic skills.
My journey span from the UK to the Middle East, where I now have the opportunity to immerse myself in diverse cultural settings, providing tailored support to families, schools, and clinics. Additionally, I remotely, collaborate with one the largest ABA providers in the USA, training and supervising Registered Behaviour Technicians (RBTs) and behaviour therapists.
Throughout my career, my goal has always been to empower parents, caregivers, and educators with the tools and knowledge they need to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children they support. I specialise in areas such as speech and language development, play and social skills, motor skills, activities of daily living, academic skills, and behaviour management.
In my work as a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), I use evidence-based strategies tailored to each individual’s unique needs. My approach is centred around creating a positive, supportive environment where learning and behavioural change can thrive.
Every child, family, or school is different, which is why I begin with a comprehensive assessment. I take the time to understand the individual’s strengths, challenges, and specific goals. From there, I develop an Individualised Plan tailored to the unique needs of the child or student. This plan serves as a roadmap, focusing on clear, measurable goals that are broken down into achievable steps.
I believe in the power of positive reinforcement, encouraging desired behaviours by providing praise, rewards, or fun activities. By making the process of learning rewarding, learners become more motivated to practice new skills, whether it’s improving communication, social interactions, or daily living tasks.
Learning should be fun! My sessions are play-based and engaging, designed to incorporate activities that your child enjoys. Through play, children can develop essential skills such as communication, turn-taking, problem-solving, and emotional regulation, all while staying motivated and excited to learn.
Consistency is essential in achieving meaningful progress. I work closely with families, schools, and caregivers to establish routines and reinforce positive behaviours both during and outside of sessions. This structured approach helps ensure that new skills are practiced and maintained across different settings, from home to school to the community
I recognise that many children benefit from a team approach. I collaborate closely with other multidisciplinary professionals such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and educators to ensure a comprehensive support system. By sharing insights and strategies, we can create a more holistic approach to your child’s development, addressing all aspects of their growth.
Throughout each session, I collect data to track progress and identify areas that may need additional support. This data-driven approach allows me to make informed decisions about when to introduce new goals, adjust techniques, or reinforce learned behaviours. By continuously monitoring and analysing progress, I can ensure that every learner is on the right path to achieving their goals.
Success doesn’t happen in isolation—it’s a team effort. I provide ongoing support and training to parents, caregivers, teachers, and nannies to ensure that they feel confident in implementing ABA strategies. By working together, we can create a consistent, supportive environment that encourages growth and development in all areas of life.
The idea for Mind Connection took shape after years of working hands-on with children, families, and professionals across various cultures and settings. Early in my career, I saw first-hand the profound impact that structured support and understanding could have on children with autism and developmental challenges, but I also saw a gap—a lack of consistent, high-quality, individualised support that families and professionals could rely on, especially when navigating complex behavioural and learning needs
I was deeply inspired by the resilience of the families and their dedication to seeking the best for their children. I witnessed families struggling to access resources and parents feeling overwhelmed and isolated. Even with the best intentions, teachers, caregivers, and therapists often felt uncertain about how to apply evidence-based strategies effectively, particularly in day-to-day settings. The need for a connected, accessible, and truly supportive service became increasingly clear.
Mind Connection grew out of a desire to bridge this gap by blending scientific rigor with practical, compassionate support. I wanted to create a service that could bring together families, educators, and therapists, equipping them with tools that were not only research-based but also practical and adaptable to their unique environments. My goal was to make evidence-based strategies accessible and to offer guidance that could be seamlessly integrated into everyday life—whether at home, in school, or in the community.
Today, Mind Connection is built on this foundation, offering personalised consultation, training, and mentorship for families and professionals worldwide. By empowering caregivers and educators with the knowledge and skills they need, Mind Connection seeks to foster meaningful connections, independence, and positive change in each child’s life.
At Mind Connection, my goal is to empower families and professionals by providing tools, strategies, and resources rooted in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). This site isn’t just a hub for consultations; it’s an evolving online portal designed to support you on your journey.
